sarah opens her first box...

...of fabric. it contains 10 bolts of bella solids she picked out to display in the new white crib that will be arriving soon.

blues, yellows, pinks and greens. now sarah is getting excited. we needed to have a few bolts on hand to get accurate height and weight measurements for the carpenters who will be building the shelves.

i received my first "the cutting table" email newsletter from moda for shop owners and entrepreneurs. i feel like a broken record in mentioning that i continue to pinch myself everyday from the excitement. i do have a black and blue mark to prove it:)

a big box arrived today...

...full of marketing stuff. 1500 postcards for bag stuffers at the chamber show and frequent buyer cards.

The frequent buyer cards were Matt's idea. He is my thirteen year old son. He informed me that is why he keeps going back to Tropical Smoothie at Legacy Village. Funny, I thought it was because of the girls:) Either way, I don't mind dropping him off. It's a convenient excuse for me to hop into Crate and Barrel. I looovee that store. Lately, when someone asks me about this quilt store I'm opening, I describe it like this...it's where Moda meets Crate and Barrel with a little Pottery Barn thrown in.

with all the initial paper work behind me, it's time to let the creativity flow...

...first task...preparing a table for the Heights-Hillcrest Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Expo 2010 on May 12 at Landerhaven. It's a great event. If you're in the Northeast Ohio area be sure to stop by.
