counting our blessings...

we are extremely grateful...

...for the creative hands of our sample makers who help bring the front window to life. for the designers who continue to give us exciting fabrics to work with. for the sales persons who lug heavy samples for us to admire.

...for our landlords who invested in this charming location. for those who helped us financially in the beginning. for the kindred spirits who never waivered in seeing our dream come to fruition. for the love and support of my family who jump to help when we call.

...most importantly, for our customers who have supported us well beyond our expectations. we thank you from the bottom of our heart.  wishing you all a happy and blessed thanksgiving

warm & welcoming...

what a wonderful day we had at the wildwood quilt show...

such a warm & welcoming day in so many ways.  the sun was shinning.  the venue was a pleasant place to exhibit and our booth location was just perfect.  lunch was delicious and the desserts were grand.  it was great to see so many friends gathered in one place and to meet new ones too.

sarah and i would like to thank the wildwood quilt guild for including us in their 22nd annual show, for their hard work, their friendly and helpful gestures, and for displaying and sharing so many beautiful and inspiring creations.

wildwood quilt show...

please join us at the...

our booth is in front of the stage in the main room. there are also ten other vendors participating.  i had the pleasure of seeing the exhibit today and there are many quilts worth your visit. hope to see you on sunday in mentor.

a driving hint: the best route from the south is to take I-90 east to route 615. turn left at the top of the exit and continue on 615 going north, also known as munson road. you will go under route 2 which has much construction therefore why i recommend I-90. once you pass mentor high school, look for the signs to the mentor senior center. it will be well marked.

featuring flora...

our newest collection to arrive is by lauren + jessi jung...

they are a modern day mother/daughter team. flora is their third collection. sarah and i first saw it at spring market last may. i had a hunch i liked it, but i wasn't completely convinced. i did know i loved the finished quilt hanging in the moda booth. it was a buzzing with bumble bees.

on their blog they describe it like this...as the drawings began to come alive… we noticed that a number of them… began to give off this sort of English Tea Room / Victorian Wallpaper sort of vibe… with a somewhat retro flair (though very subtle).  interesting description.

i've been cutting and folding flora all afternoon and i've decidied i like it. i really, really like it.  take a look at their blog.  it is extremely enjoyable to view.  i am anxious to see what you all do with flora.

hometown...

by sweetwater. oh how i love thee...

actually i love everything by this talented mother/daughter trio. a while back they talked a little about hometown on their blog.  included on a few bolts are the names of more than 1,000 towns submitted by their loyal followers and readers. chances are you could make something with this fabric and send it to anyone of your friends and they would be able to find a town they onced lived in.

lisa, karla and susan also have a wonderful new book out named...sweetwater's simple home. we have a few copies for your purchase. it includes several wonderful projects for things around your home.

we first introduced you to our newest creature...mr. fox created by ohsweetlulu last week. he is surrounded by quilt creations by crystal at frivolous necessity, and sunnysidedesigns2. the tumbler topper by peanutbutter14, bags by queenbeequilting and njayedesigns.  the adorable dress and tie are hand stitched by twosistersoriginals.
