shame on you dns services.....

i just don't understand. if you've got talent. use it. humbly. truthfully. ethically. this post is not pretty. sorry. but hopefully it might help a fellow small business owner...

i received this professional piece of mail this week. it looks real. so i opened it.

very authentic looking invoice. so i put it into the "to be paid file" for later.  it is a $65 charge for hosting our store's website. so i started to write the check. wait just a minute. i pay another service on a monthly basis to host the website. so i looked a little closer. sure enough. see that bottom sentence. it's a solicitation. pretty deceitful i'd say. i wonder just how many checks they cash for $65.00?  many, i'm afraid.

#2 Sweet Spring Baby Girl Dress = SOLD

Garden Zinnia: Created by Willie Williams. This dress is perfect for Easter, garden parties, weddings, etc., but durable enough for the everyday princess. 100% cotton and machine washable, this dress is one of a kind. Features include: full skirt with pleats in side for extra fullness, fully lined bodice, attached slip, two button closure in back of dress, and a ruffled diaper cover.

For NO WORRY sizing: Measure around the baby's chest, under the arms. Measurement should be 17-20 inches. Length of dress is 14 inches from neckline to hem

#4 Lap Quilt in Sophie = SOLD

This quilt is made with Chez Moi's line of fabric, called Sophie, produced by Moda. It was created by Sue Pfau. It is perfect for a baby girl! All fabric is high quality "heirloom" fabric, should last for a very long time.  The back has been pieced in a very attractive manner.

Measurements of this quilt are 46" by 54". It is a large baby quilt and can be used as a coverlet for a toddler bed as well.

The batting is the "Warm and Natural" cotton/polyester blend...80/20 blend. The quilting is done in an overall meandering pattern on a long arm machine. The binding is machine stitched on the front, and then folded over and is hand stitched onto the back.

This quilt will be delivered to your home already washed. Machine wash and dry, but the gentler the better. Air drying is best for the longevity of the quilt.

# 5 Cathedral Window Pillow in Sophie (matches # 4 quilt) = SOLD

This is for the pillow cover only. It takes an 18" square pillow insert.

This pillow will add a touch of girly sophistication to any room in your house. The top of this pillow is sewn almost completely by hand by WarmnFuzzies.  It is a very labor-intensive pattern and the pillow cover is quite heavy because each natural square is four layers thick.  The fabrics are 100% cotton. It is very easy to remove the pillow because of the overlapping back.

I would only hand-wash this cover in cold water and dry flat, as this will keep the fabrics bright for a long time.

#7 Meadowfriends Boy Quilt = SOLD

This quilt was made with Deb Strain's new collection for Moda - Meadow Friends by Southern Bell Designs. Cute boy prints include camo, frogs, salamanders, turtles, dragonflies and a few other bugs. It is free-motion quilted over Warm and White cotton batting using a tan colored cotton thread. The edges have been finished with a traditional binding - doubled, machine stitched to the top and hand stitched to the back. Quilt has been washed to shrink everything, creating the puckered look of a vintage quilt. Measures 40 x 40. Machine wash cold and tumble dry as often as necessary.

Created in a smoke-free home and pet-free workroom.

our sincere appreciation...

i truthfully can't believe 2012 has come to an end. it seems i was just counting the 2011 frequent buyer cards. such an amazing year it has been. i tried to explain in our holiday newsletter how thankful, grateful and inspired we are to have such wonderful customers and decided there just are no words to adequately describe it. perhaps this photo demonstrates just how significantly appreciative we are...
