oh my this ole blog here has been sorely neglected. i suppose it's because we have become so comfortable with facebook these days. but it's a new year which makes it seem like a good time to say hello. let's start with this...
sarah and i met with marc jacobs from michael miller today.
we ordered some fun new prints for springtime. well truthfully, we try to always keep it like a breath of springtime in our shop. the new bolts will arrive sometime mid march.
it is really begininng to look like spring in the shop...
posy by aneela hoey is just precious. perfect for the new baby in your life, an easter dress for your little girl, or just an array of pastels in a quilt to brighten up the winter doldrums.
gotta love that lazy girl. she has come up with an interfacing fairy tale come true...
as she decribes it...snow white had grumpy, dopey and sleepy and lazy girl has stiff stuff, slicker and dreamy. and now they are all in stock in our house of fabric. they are newly designed to make selecting what you need for the inside of your bags easy peasy. for much greater details hop on over to this blogpost on the lazy girls site.
if you hop over to their blog today and read this post...a free pattern is waiting for you. and if you like to shop, lauren debuts a useful new tool that she has in the development stage.
a bit of riley blake's costume clubhouse. we have fat quarter bundles, ten inch stackers, rolie polies and a bolt of the main fabric. by not going to market this past spring, i sorta blew it on this one. much is already sold out. like the banners:( at least the purple was still in stock. not for long though for us. three yards already sold this afternoon.
just in time for father's day. or for the barbeque go to guy in your life...
kiss the cook, condiments, ketchup and mustard by michael miller along with turf, plaid and ticking by emily herrick.
the fat quarter bundle belongs to the lucky winner of the guessing challenge on facebook. if you don't follow us over there you might want to. just click the facebook link over to the right of this post.

i received my first sewing machine for christmas when i was just seven years old. it started a life long passion for stitching and a love of fabric. i started a custom design company nearly 20 years ago named creations by jellen. it has been a dream of mine to own a fabric shop one day...and that day has finally come...the mission has changed somewhat...yet oh how grand it has become with my daughter, Sarah Ellen, by my side. her extra chromosome has been a blessing from the day she was born. we hope you will be able to stop to visit us one day. JEllen's house of fabric is located on the eastside of cleveland in ohio.
